Ten things I’m thankful for today

1: Waking up from a nap and finding the world white

2: Cuddling with my fresh-out-of-the-dryer blanket

3: Lunch with Bethany

4: The Beauty and the Beast soundtrack

5: Study rooms. You can be loud, obnoxious, and ridiculous without being heard. Mostly…

6: Productive Wal-Mart runs…. there may or may not be a nerf basketball hoop chilling in my room

7: Nights when you sit at the table forever and no one wants to get up, no matter how awkward it gets

8: Watching people wipe out in the snow

9: Playing basketball, getting all sweaty and tired

10: Studying, or the lack thereof, in the Commons

Ten things I’m thankful for

[generic first blog post]

I really should be doing homework. But once, at the beginning of the semester, a speaker encouraged incoming freshmen to “write, continually write.” Now that’s something I can do.  I’ve thought about starting a blog since last year, but I never got around to it until now. I thought about putting it off until next semester, but that just seems awkward if I’m going to try to keep this going throughout my college career.

All of the inevitable “why I started this blog” stuff aside, this is what I’m really feeling right now:

Christmas is probably my favorite holiday, and even though I won’t get to spend as much of the season with my family, I am still super excited for this Christmas! Last night, some of us were sitting in McConn (the coffee shop here on campus) while the staff were decorating for Christmas. It was beautiful. Then of course us girls had to go back and watch Rudolph.

Seriously. It is the most wonderful time of the year.
